About Us
We are a nature-inspired preschool that utilizes play-based learning to establish a solid educational foundation. Incorporating Waldorf, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia philosophies, our program includes child-led exploration alongside literacy and creative art. We offer two small classes twice a week for six-eight week sessions, to promote diverse participation. Our mission is to nurture children's growth through outdoor adventures, while observing them to better understand their learning needs.
Our Learning Environment
Within the foothills of the Appalachians, our ten acres provide all the space needed for our preschoolers to grow.
The Founder
Chelsea is a farm raised, Mama of two girls with a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education specializing in PreK-4. Her passions lie in the outdoors, capturing precious moments behind the camera, writing poetry and sprinkling magic throughout everything she touches. She, along with her family raises chickens and cattle with the help of a few trusty barn cats & a pup named Tallulah. Chelsea believes every child deserves a diverse, inclusive, unique learning environment and she hopes to create just that for her students. The Corner School was developed with her twenty years experience in early education and a dream to foster a community of nature-inspired learners.
